Celebrating God’s Love—One Note at a Time
At UPC Fresno, we believe that music is a vital expression of our faith, bringing people together in worship, celebration, and reflection. Our services feature a variety of musical styles—from timeless hymns to contemporary praise—often including guest musicians who enrich our worship.
We offer many ways for individuals to use their musical gifts to serve both our church and the wider community. Whether you love to sing, play an instrument, or support the arts in other ways, there is a place for you in our music ministry. Our choir, worship band, instrumental ensembles, and special music opportunities are always welcoming new members who have a heart for worship.
UPC Chancel Choir
A mixed voice choir who support the 10 a.m. worship service. They rehearse Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. The Chancel choir is active from September through May, leading congregational singing, and providing rich choral music regularly.
Contemporary Worship Band
Our Contemporary Worship Band brings fresh energy to our 10 a.m. service, blending modern praise songs with heartfelt worship for a meaningful, engaging experience.
Lao Praise Team
A mixed vocal and instrumental group who support the Lao language service, and practice during the year.
In addition, the Lao Dancers share the beautiful art of Laotian music and dance with us at special events throughout the year.
UPC Bell Choir
A group of youth and adults who rehearse on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. with five octaves of Schulmerich handbells and three octaves of hand chimes. The Bell Choir plays monthly at our 10 a.m. Worship Service, and at various special events throughout the year.
Aeolian-Skinner Pipe Organ
With over 3,000 pipes, this magnificent Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ adds its voice to the 10 a.m. service. Originally installed in the Trinity Episcopal Church of Princeton, New Jersey, this instrument has provided beautiful music for services and community concerts at UPC since 1977.
