Racial Inequality
Begins September 20
Fresno is a diverse city of half a million people, where riches and opportunity are not equally available. Join us as Dympna Ugwu-Oju, Editor of the Fresno Bee’s Fresnoland Lab helps us learn about the geographic, economic, and racial isolation our city’s many residents who find the doors to education, opportunity, and advancement closed off to them. We’ll learn about the racial inequities in our neighborhoods and what can be done to improve the quality of life for everyone in Fresno.
Dympna Ugwu-Oju came to the United States by choice, as an immigrant, first as a student and later, to live and call this country home.
The Fresnoland Lab is a policy and media lab bringing Fresno’s citizens independent research and policy journalism about the most important issues facing the Central San Joaquin Valley - by and for those of us who actually live here. To learn more about Fresnoland Lab visit fresnobee.com/fresnoland.
