As University Presbyterian Church reaches our 50th year, we hear God’s call to live out the good news message of Jubilee. Jubilee symbolized a time of restoration, renewal, reconciliation, revival, and release in which people trusted the provision of God to make all things new. In UPC’s year of Jubilee, we remember God’s grace and love and extend this same grace to future generations as we seek to revitalize our campus, reach out into our community, and resource our future ministry.

As a part of our 50th Anniversary we are embarking on the Jubilee Capital Campaign. Together our congregation is pledging to support the ongoing and future ministry of University Presbyterian Church. While celebrating all that God has done among us the past 50 years, we believe God is now calling us to reinvest in our campus for the sake of ongoing ministry, reaching new people, and investing in future generations over the next 50 years and beyond.

Our prayers

Throughout the Jubilee Campaign, we are all invited to actively pray together this simple prayer: Jesus, what do you want to do through me? Based on this prayer, the campaign does not ask for equal shares but for equal sacrifices. Our prayers prepare us to become willing and eager participants in following Jesus by living and giving the good news to the places and people we are called to love and serve together.

our goals

Our Jubilee Campaign goal of $850,000 is based on projects to increase our capacity to joyfully share God’s love with our community. By providing resources above-and-beyond regular giving, we can revitalize our facilities for future generations. And, we can create room in our annual budgets to further invest in current ministry opportunities and programs like our monthly food distributions. Campaign pledges on Commitment Sunday, May 19, 2019 will be for three years (through Spring, 2022).
